Verdana Group (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in South Africa with its office at Maude Street, West Towers, 2nd Floor, Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton 2196, Johannesburg, provides VPS, cloud and dedicated hosting services to customers in South Africa and abroad. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
2. Information We Collect
- Contact details you give us directly — name, email address, phone number — when you request a server, a trial, or support.
- Billing information required to provision and invoice services.
- Technical data such as IP addresses and support correspondence needed to operate and secure your server.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provision, configure and support the VPS, cloud or dedicated services you order.
- To respond to sales and support requests sent to lets@verdana.co.za or support@verdana.co.za.
- To send service-related communications, such as maintenance notices or billing updates.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell customer data. Information is shared only with infrastructure and payment providers strictly necessary to deliver the service, and where required by South African law.
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain account and billing information for as long as your service is active and as required for legal or accounting purposes. Backup servers running SSD or HDD are used to protect service data, and access to customer systems is limited to authorised support staff.
